Introducing the AG-SUS drills to the market from Cutting Tools Chicago aka General Cutting Tools by Nachi as a drill for stainless steel machining. As we know, stainless steels are well known for being a superior industrial material because of non-corrosive, heat resistant and non-magnetic characteristics in addition to its decorative uses. Due to its features such as low rate of heat conduction and its readiness to work harden, stainless steel is considered to be a material which is difficult to drill. This kind of drill has been particularly required making high efficient drilling possible. Nachi AG-SUS drills are available in short (stub, screw machine, etc.) length and jobbers length.
Nachi’s new drill, AG-SUS is promising high performance with high efficiency and stability wile drilling of stainless steels.
These drills feature improved abrasion resistance by combining high alloy high speed steel and TiAlN based AG coating. Superior chip separation occurs due to a well designed drill shape resulting in high efficiency drilling. Variations are also kept to a minimum wile being stable and have a long life. Application materials are: stainless steel, structural steel and low carbon steel. On the stub drills, higher rigidity and stable drilling accuracy is achieved by adoption of a precision ground shank and short flute length.
